We have got news: Just take a look.

Oosteinds spektakel 11-09-2010

This is the last time this year, that the boys are in the Netherlands. It’s Oosteind this time. At 5 p.m. they arrived at the festival area. First they went to the hotel to freshen up. At 7 they came back. Sabine and I were there as well. All instruments on the place and the soundcheck could start.

At 9 o’clock the great show started. Again, it was an amazing gig. A lot of fun and laughter and a enthousiastic crowd. At about a quarter past ten the Bogus-Spectacle was over. What a shame, but we can look back on an amazing Bogus year. After the gig the boys got changed and put their instruments back into the van. Later the evening BWB (Band without bananas) began. We watched and listened with great fun. At about half past one we went back to the hotel as the boy had to leave back to England at nine the next morning. What a shame that it is all over but we hope that next year will be another Bogus-year. We do our best that it will happen.

As soon as I have some updates I will let you know.

Spektakel de Hofwei 23-07-2010 in Oostvoorne

Friday, 23rd July 2010 and it’s Bogus time again. The boys came to the Oostvoorne Festival of Hofwei.

At half past two I arrived at the hotel while the band was already there and had a little nap in their rooms. At half past five some of the boys came outside to enjoy a bit of the lovely weather and the sun. At five we were complete. Off to the festival! And we did not need to go very far as the festival ground was just opposite the hotel.

Unpack the instruments and do the soundcheck. At half past six we had a nice dinner together. Afterwards we went back into our hotelrooms to get a little rest. At midnight the boys had to be on stage.

Earlier in the evening a local band called Deep Impact, a  Soulsinger called Wendell and the Popstar winner Wesley played on the stage. But then the boys came… and the audience was dancing on the ceiling. It was a big party.  

After the show Patrick (Maka) and I sold a few CD’s and then we enjoyed the afterparty.                                                          Yolanda and Gerard, it was great to see you and thank you so much for the many great photos. Gudrun and friend, it was great to see you as well. Hope to see you again soon.

Unfortunately we had to say bye-bye far to soon as the boys had to leave early in the morning at a quarter past seven. In the meantime they have arrived savely back in England.

Thank you very much for the organizers, you have done a great job and we enjoyed our time very much. We hope that the boys will play again next year.

Bentelo 04-07-2010

The boys were back! This time they came from Dublin by plane where they had a gig the day before. So, this Sunday morning Jerry from the booking office Artilla and I drove to Schiphol to pick them up. We brought them to the hotel where they could rest a few hours. In the late afternoon somebody from the festival organization came to pick us up in an old fire engine. That was great fun!

After about 5 min. we arrived at the festival ground and the boys did their sound check and had something to eat. At 6:30 p.m. the gig started. After about one hour they had a half hour break, when Dieter Koblenz (entertainer german songs) came on stage for a little performance and the boys could rest for a while. At 8:00 p.m. they came back on stage. It was a great gig. Several times Patrick was stage diving and sang while he was floating above the audience. That was great! At about half past nine the show was over and we had some nice drinks backstage.  Later on we got hungry and we found a place where we could get some frankfurters. We were very grateful for the late hospitality and the yummy sausages. That was a nice ending of the evening.

At 1:30 a.m. we returned to the hotel. The next morning we had to get up early to bring them back to the airport at 9 a.m.
